beware of populisms
Hi guys, in the past, approx. in the 50s and
60s appeared in South America many populist leaders, they in his speeches appealed
to emotions of the citizens, generality creating intense nationalism in this countries
and believing superior to others country. In the finally of the 90s the warlord
effectively down because the globalization promoted the “open of the borders”, with ideas of mutual help between nations. But nowadays, in different points of the globe,
nationalist leadership has appeared with speeches very discriminatory and
violent.
This nationalist leadership has points in common;
first, the idea that they are the only solution to the problems of nations. Other
idea in common is the great instability of the countries, caused for extern
factors, for example: the dependency, the actual leadership, the immigration, the
democratic system and others. They have in their speeches, hate words about these
assumptions groups that affect the countries, and promote denigrating acts, for
example the famous wall in the border of USA and Mexico proposed in the campaign
of Donald Trump and executed in his government.
Finally, these nationalist and populist
speeches have sprouted more and more in the world; therefore it is a challenge
for us to curb that archaic discourse of exalting one nation over another, to
once become citizens of the world.
It's very complicated this situation, the violence around the world between the people and their "superior" leaders in many countries.
